DESCRIPTION

The following are some of the key deliverable reports that the accountant is responsible for delivering to management:

- Financial statements: Balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing a complete and accurate picture of the company's financial position and performance.
- Budget vs. actual: Regular reports comparing actual results against budgeted results, highlighting areas where actual results differ from budgeted results.
- Performance reports: Regular reports highlighting key performance indicators, such as sales, margins, and expenses, providing management with an understanding of the company's overall performance.
- Cash flow: Regular cash flow reports, providing management with a complete understanding of the company's cash position and future cash needs.
- Ad-hoc reports: Special reports requested by management, such as cost analysis reports, project reports, and other reports as required.

REQUIREMENTS

ACCOUNTING  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recording financial transactions: Recording all financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

  • Accounts payable: Processing vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and preparing payment batches.

  • Accounts receivable: Processing customer invoices, reconciling customer statements, and preparing invoices for billing.

  • Payroll: Processing payroll and preparing payroll tax returns.

  • Budgeting and forecasting: Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasting, and performing variance analysis to understand why actual results differ from budgeted results.

  • Financial reporting: Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Compliance: Ensuring that the company is in compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, and performing regular audits to ensure that all financial records are accurate and complete.

  • Management reporting: Preparing regular reports for management, including performance reports, financial reports, and other ad-hoc reports as required.
