DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an engineer to work at our fourth line repair and overhaul facility in North York. to assist in providing in-service support to aging fleets of military vehicles and their major components. The candidate would be responsible for the design, development, and testing of solutions to problems with these vehicles. This may involve tasks such as developing and implementing new maintenance procedures, reverse engineering obsolete parts, conducting failure analysis, designing modifications to improve reliability/performance to assist in extending the life of the vehicle and systems

REQUIREMENTS

PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, business administration, or project management, is required. A master's degree and relevant certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) may be preferred.

  • Experience: Significant experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality. Experience working in the defence industry or with military ground vehicles is a plus.

  • Leadership skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.

  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet the needs of the customer.

  • Communication skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including customers, senior management, and team members.

  • Project management skills: Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and budget control.

  • Technical knowledge: A good understanding of technical systems and components used in military ground vehicles, as well as experience working with engineers and technicians to manage projects related to these systems.

  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.

  • Attention to detail: Ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
